The day starts with a fine breakfast, including apple pie.






Inside the Nikolaikirche. It was here that the reunification of Germany began, as East Germans settled inside the recognized safety of the sanctuary and demanded their rights in the German "Democratic" Republic.



Leipzig was before the war a great trade city and after the reunification is again coming into its own.





Such mascot lions were scattered around the city.






This was inside the imposing federal courthouse. Find the monkey!





And of course, Kaffee & Kuchen.
