Billy and Olaf

Billy, an American ex-pat, ex-Army brat spent many years in Europe (especially Deutschland) working in sort of a USO related capacity, and is now an artist resident in Zandvoort. In Germany, he met Olaf, ex-gymnast at 17 he is a general friend of the arts and himself a practitioner working out of what sounds like a higher end salon. To hear him speak of his craft conjures no less a passion than Michaelangelo.

Billy brought forth a splendid beef stroganof (pickles add the crunch!), and sorry about the "goulash" reference, eh? Their flat is right in the pedestrian drag with a back balcony view to the roof tops of Zandvoort.

[And i know Mom is asking: "So who are Billy and Olaf?" Essentially, they answered a bulletin board request from me, "What's there to do in Zandvoort?" Zandvoort is a small town, kind of like Seaside, or Canon Beach. Once here, and after a brief IM exchange, we had evening plans. Danke, Jungs!

My first time catching up in some days ... looks like great fun. (Rob, I'd pass on the herring, too!) We took our first family outing to Newport on Sunday May 20, and we went to the aquarium ... with Rogue right there! Wish I could upload the photos from dinner! I loved my "10K Ale" and Double Choc Stout and could've stayed all evening!
Ciao, Marko
